How do I reserve a party date?
Parties are booked on a first come, first serve basis. When a party date and time have been selected, a deposit will be necessary to secure your reservation. We suggest booking parties at least 4 weeks in advance. Sometimes we can arrange a party on shorter notice depending on the number we have scheduled. Be sure to check.
What is the deposit amount required?
There is a $100 deposit that will be collected at the time the party reservation is made. The balance of the party price will be paid, in full, one week (7 days) prior to the party.
What happens if I have to cancel my party?
Cancellations made more than one week (greater than 7 days) prior to the party date will receive full refund of their deposit. Cancellations made within a week of the party date (7 days or less) will forfeit the entire purchase price of the party. If a cancellation needs to be made due to an illness or emergency the party can be re-scheduled for a later date without forfeiting any deposits.
What time can I have my party?
We will work to accommodate your schedule.
What ages are you parties for?
Parties are designed for children ages 4 to 10 years of age
Who should attend a party?
Children under the age of four should not attend. Our tea parties can be a marvelous, memorable experience for your child. Children who are too young will not enjoy the experience. Some of the jewerly used in the parites poses a choking hazard to young children. For these reasons, if you think your child is too young, we encourage you to wait.
What should children wear to the party?
Girls lace costumes will fit most easily over leotards and tights. These can be worn under warmer clothes for arriving at the party. Other light weight clothing will also work. Boys will be changing into shirts and coats. You decide whether to have them wear pants, jeans or shorts.
How should I decorate for the party?
No decorations are necessary. The tea table is fully decorated with tiered stands holding china plates and Victorian figurines having tea in addition to china, silver, and crystal. The Victorian hats will be on hat stands, displayed around your house for your guest to see when they arrive. Your house will also be filled with appropriate classical music to set the proper mood upon the arrival of your guest.
What happens if a guest has food allergies?
It will be your responsibility to check for food allergies. Should any of your guests have food allergies, we will try our best to be accommodating. If a guest has severe allergies, we recommend that either you or the child’s parent provide an alternate menu for that child.
How long are the parties?
Parties are approximately two hours in length. Though we do arrive before your party time to set up, some of the two hours is required to clean up the tea table when your guest are finished.
Do you have a minimum/maximum attendance?
Parties may be scheduled for up to 8 children. If less than 8 children attend your party, you will still be charged for 8 children. Maximum attendance is 12 but we recommend no more than 10 for the best party experience for your child.
When do you need the final R.S.V.P. count?
You will need to contact me at least 4 days prior to your party with a RSVP count to determine the headcount for the event. This will be the number we use to plan appropriate quantities of food for the party.
